Frequency spectrum analysis of point clouds

Description: The initial machine output of an object might differ slightly from its desired design (most commonly developed in CAD) for large projects such as yachts. Such irregularities are often fixed manually by adding material at places overlooked by the machine. The areas where irregularities arise need to be detected.
To resolve this problem, we analyze the frequency spectrum built from the point cloud of the machine output in order to find local valleys. We then find these valley’s depth and calculate how much more material is needed so we get as much as possible to the initially desired design.
