Description: Many applications require close investigation for dense point clouds. But very dense point clouds are extremely slow for rendering or editing, so the user very often has the need to work on undersampled scans and only display the full scan at a certain area of interest. On the other hand, working with undersampled scans is a problem if a close investigation at a certain area is required. If the user zooms in, after a certain level it is inevitable that there will be pixel gaps between displayed points.
With this problem in mind, we build a GUI which normally displays a user-defined portion of the points, but can also display the full amount of points if requested at an area of interest. Moreover, the software can also fill in the gaps between points by coloring the empty pixels with an averaged color value.
